For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Jo 3:16-18

JESUS IS RISEN!

Just like He said He would do; He rose up out of the grave and now He is our risen Savior. Now the Kingdom of God is available for all to enter in.  All sin has been forgiven through Christ’s crucifixion, resurrection and ascension; and we can receive salvation through accepting Jesus and what He has done for us on the cross.  He suffered the penalty of sin and experienced death for your sins and mine.  Because of what He has done, we can be set free of eternal damnation, receive forgiveness, be born again and live eternally with Christ.

Resurrection marks the beginning of a new life for all who would believe in Christ. Without respect of person, characteristics or sin all can be saved through Christ.  Your choice is salvation or damnation; so why not receive Christ into your heart today?

Ministry Definitions

Here are some quick references to help understand the five-fold ministry of Jesus Christ. The titles and positions  vary from church to church so the references given are for your personal study.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesian 4:11-13

Apostle - A special messenger sent forth from God to be a special witness of the name of Jesus Christ in all the world, particularly of His divinity and of His bodily resurrection from the dead. One possessing the anointing of Jesus Christ to exercise spiritual gifts and authority to establish the foundation of the church in the earth. Scripture References: I Cor 9:1-5; Acts 1:21-22; Rom 1:5; Gal 2:8; Mk 10:2; Lk 6:13; II Cor 12:12 - Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
Luke 6:13 - And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles.

Prophet - Minister who speaks divinely inspired revelations, foretells future events, who speaks for God by divine inspiration to restore back to order the lives of God’s people. Scripture References: Deu 18:18; Jer. 1:10; Amos 3:7-8; Jo 4:19; Lk 11:49, Mk 6:4
Deu 18:18 - I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Evangelist - Minister who evangelizes or preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ to convert to Christianity. Scripture References: II Tim 4:2-5; Acts 21:8; III Joh 5-8
II Tim 4:2-5 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Pastor and Teacher - Minister of Jesus Christ with direct senior oversight of the local congregation to provide spiritual instruction and care for believers in the church of Jesus Christ. Scripture References: Jer. 3:15; Jer 23:2, 4; Ps. 23:2, Matt 10:1; Jo 10:1, 16
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

While the office of apostle may walk in any of these gifts from time to time temporarily, these are individual offices held by several individual ministers empowered with an office or gifting by Christ.  When these individual ministers and gifts come together in agreement,. they authenticate the Spirit of Christ (Mt 18:16-20; I Cor 12).

1Co 12:28  And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Christ alone walked in all these gifting simultaneously as prophet, priest and king, fulfilling the Godhead bodily (Col 2:9).  When all the offices and gifts come together in the House of God, we have the fullness of the body of Christ.

Statement of Faith
      Belief that
  • The Bible was written by holy men under divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit (II Pet 1:21).
  • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that we may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (II Tim 3:16).
  • FATHER GOD, His SON, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT are one according to Jo 10:30, 1:1,14, I Jo 5:8
  • Water baptism by immersion and repentance is required by all that come to the Lord (Acts 2:38).
  • Salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8, Jo 3:16, Rom 10:9-10).
  • Sanctification and living a holy life (I Th 4:4).
  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4).
  • Divine healing (Acts 10:38; Mk 16:18)
  • The final destination of believers to  eternal life with Christ and the final destination of all unbelievers to eternal damnation.
